Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there are no prerequisites for negotiations on the Ukrainian crisis. He noted that Russia still remains open to the settlement of the conflict.
‘Now there are still no prerequisites for negotiations, for they are evaded, they are excluded by the Ukrainian side,’ Dmitry Peskov said, his words quoted by RIA Novosti.
The Kremlin spokesman pointed out that Russia was not seeking a ceasefire in Ukraine, but peace, which would come after Moscow’s conditions were met.
‘All this can be discussed in the course of negotiations, should be discussed. Looking ahead to a ceasefire as such, and we have repeatedly said that a ceasefire in itself is not what we want. We want peace, which will come after our conditions are fulfilled and after all our goals are achieved,’ – added Peskov.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
