US President-elect Donald Trump has invited Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as the presidents of Argentina and El Salvador, Javier Milieu and Nayib Bukele, to his inauguration in January 2025.
CNN writes about this, citing sources.
‘All three are close allies of Trump, who have also from time to time troubled the US and its allies with their support for strong leader tactics and their far-right politics,’ the material says.
It is noted that Trump has sent invitations to other foreign leaders as well, but their names were not disclosed.
TV channel sources added that instead of Chinese President Xi Jinping at the event may be attended by a delegation of high-ranking Chinese officials.
Earlier it became known that Chinese President Xi Jinping will not come to the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.
In addition, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had not received an invitation from Trump to his inauguration.
