Swedish defence company SAAB intends to start production in Ukraine

Saab CEO Mikael Johansson has said that the Swedish company intends to start arms production in Ukraine.

He told Sveriges Radio on air.

‘We are in the process, we would also like to settle in Ukraine and co-operate with Ukrainian companies,’ RIA Novosti quoted Johansson as saying.

According to him, SAAB could start operations as early as 2025.

Johansson emphasised that it is not necessary to wait for the end of the Ukrainian conflict to launch production.

Earlier it was reported that Sweden plans to allocate funds to Ukraine for the production of long-range missiles and drones.
