The ruling in Poland ‘Civic coalition’ to legislate the possibility of citizens of the country to join the Armed forces of Ukraine without subsequent punishment, reports the newspaper Rzeczpospolita.
Joining a foreign army or military organisation without the consent of the competent authority is prohibited by the Polish constitution. Under current law, this offence is punishable by up to five years in prison.
‘Civic Coalition’ has put forward a bill according to which it would be possible to join the AFU without any punishment. At the same time, a Polish citizen who will take part in hostilities in Ukraine will have to immediately inform the head of the defence ministry with a written statement after returning.
‘In the interests of Poland to obtain information about citizens who have acquired knowledge, skills and combat experience’, – stated in the justification of the document.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
