Politico: Biden ‘dropped off the radar’ in the US after Trump’s election victory

The incumbent US leader Joe Biden hardly gives orders, avoids public events and communication with the press, having practically “dropped off the radar” in the US after Donald Trump’s presidential election victory, Politico newspaper notes.

The publication notes that Biden will serve as US president for another 42 days, but some lawmakers, members of his administration and members of the Democratic Party feel as if he already left the Oval Office weeks ago.

“He is taking such a nonchalant and selfish approach to his final weeks in office,” one former government official told the paper.

Sources in the US Democratic Party also confirm that Biden is not involved in discussions about the future of the political party after Trump’s inauguration.

As the newspaper calculated, Biden said only seven words to the media representatives accompanying him during the last almost two weeks of his stay abroad.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal wrote that Democrats are angry with Biden because of his self-removal from the leadership after the election.
