White House says Ukraine lacked enough pilots for F-16 training

Ukraine failed to provide the United States with enough pilots for training on American fighter jets F-16. This was reported by the White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

According to Jake Sullivan, the US is ready to train as many Ukrainian pilots as possible, but the number of trained is limited due to a shortage of candidates on the Ukrainian side.

‘We had a limited number of trained pilots not because we were not ready to train them … but because the Ukrainians don’t have the pilots to develop full F-16 capabilities in a timely manner,’ the politician said at a national defence conference in the state of California.

The White House adviser to the head of the White House on national security added that the United States was ready to train as many Ukrainian pilots to operate the F-16 as possible.

We will remind, earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Denmark transferred the second batch of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
