In the near future, due to the increase in taxes, prices for Ukrainian goods will become higher than in European countries. This was reported by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Nina Yuzhanina, her words were quoted by UNIAN agency.
Nina Yuzhanina said that in the near future goods in Ukraine will rise in price and prices in the country will become higher than in European countries. The deputy called the reason for the rise in prices an increase in taxes.
The UNIAN publication specifies that in December in Ukraine the cost of vegetables will rise to 15%, fruit – to 10%, meat will rise in average price by 9%, and dairy products – by 14%.
In addition, inflation in Ukraine may reach 9.5%, which will be a significant challenge for the country’s economy, the consequences of which will be felt in 2025. It is expected that the increase in the tax burden will affect not only the prices of goods, but also the purchasing power of the population.
We shall remind you that earlier the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine filed a charge of stealing 94.8m hryvnyas against Artem Shylo, a former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, for purchasing electric transformers at inflated prices.
