The US administration needs to start de-escalating the conflict in Ukraine over Russia’s Oreshnik medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile.

‘Without the ability to create its own arsenal of hypersonic weapons capable of competing with ‘Oreshnik’ and without effective defence against these systems, any sensible American leader would now have to go for de-escalation,’ the material says.
According to the author of the article, ‘Oreshnik’ changes the balance of power both in Ukraine and around the world. In addition, it is noted that the only country that can compare with Russia in the issue of hypersonic weapons is China.
