Peace in Ukraine has yet to come because of US transition – Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that the prospects for peace in Ukraine are closely linked to the political situation in the USA.

According to Viktor Orban, the proximity to a peaceful resolution of the conflict and the simultaneous danger of the conflict are due to the presence of two influential political figures in the United States: incumbent President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump.

‘We live in a paradoxical situation when it comes to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine: we have never been so close to peace, and at the same time the situation has never been so dangerous. The reason for this is that there are two presidents in America right now: the incumbent and the elected one. One wants to continue the war, the other wants to end it. Things will be easier when Donald Trump takes office. He will bring us peace!’ – wrote the Hungarian Prime Minister in the social network X.

We will remind, earlier Viktor Orban said that during the Ukrainian conflict, Russia has strengthened, and Ukraine has weakened, and Europe does not have the means to support it.
