German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz has allowed close co-operation with US President-elect Donald Trump on a peace settlement in Ukraine, Reuters reports.
Olaf Scholz said that he would be able to develop a joint strategy on Ukraine with Donald Trump.
The politician also reported a telephone conversation with the future president and established contact with his team responsible for security issues.
‘I am confident that we will be able to develop a joint strategy for Ukraine. My main principle remains that nothing can not be decided without giving a voice to the Ukrainian people,’ – said the Chancellor.
We shall remind you that earlier Olaf Scholz confirmed that Germany would not send its servicemen to Ukraine.
