World Bank officials believe US President-elect Donald Trump could drastically cut funding for US projects abroad, the British newspaper The Sun reported.
According to The Sun, Donald Trump intends to scrap ‘virtually the entire’ United States aid budget.
‘World Bank officials have told Britain’s deputy foreign minister for international development Annelise Dodds that US-funded development projects abroad could come to a halt as the future president focuses on spending on America’s needs,’ the publication says.
The newspaper noted that in 2023, the United States spent about 63 billion dollars on humanitarian aid for other countries.
Recall, earlier the channel News Nation said that the inhabitants of the United States have debts more than ever in history. Today, the cost of living for the average American has increased by 14 per cent, and the total debt of American citizens has reached $17 trillion.
