Ukraine’s foreign minister rules out compromises with Russia on territorial issue

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga ruled out compromises with Russia on the issue of territories at a meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers.

‘There will be no compromises on our territorial integrity, sovereignty or future security,’ the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service quoted him as saying.

Sibiga emphasised that Kiev needs ‘geopolitical certainty’ as part of the Euro-Atlantic community.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal wrote that Kiev plans to announce its readiness to negotiate and conclude a peace agreement with Russia.

The Spectator magazine also noted that the conflict in Ukraine was moving towards the creation of a demilitarised zone.
