Moscow and Minsk have revised approaches to the use of nuclear weapons amid the emergence of weapons based on the latest technologies. This was reported by the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Igor Nazaruk.
‘The decision to deploy tactical nuclear weapons [Russian – ed.] on the territory of Belarus is a fact, so this is a legally enshrined measure in the new document. The degree of mutual security of our states is increasing. Approaches to the use of nuclear weapons have been adjusted,’ said Igor Nazaruk.
In addition, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry recalled that December 6, Minsk will host a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, where Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko will consider the draft concept of security of the Union State and the Russian-Belarusian agreement on security guarantees.
