US presidential national security aide Jake Sullivan has announced assistance to Ukraine in the very near future. Kiev will receive hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of missiles by mid-January 2025, the TASS news agency has reported.
“Between now and mid-January, we will deliver hundreds of thousands of additional artillery shells, thousands of additional missiles and other critical weapons to help Ukraine,” the statement said.
The US presidential aide pointed out that President Joe Biden had ordered new anti-Russian sanctions.
Jake Sullivan also noted that Biden prioritised the delivery to Kiev of US interceptor missiles for air defence systems, which has already allowed “as a result of this decision Ukraine to receive additional hundreds of interceptor missiles, further deliveries are on the way”.
We shall remind you that earlier the British mass media reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had agreed to lower the mobilisation age from 25 to 18 at the request of the United States, but only on condition that the USA would continue supplying arms.
