Peskov: Merkel’s words about Putin scaring her with a dog are perplexing

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly frightened her with his dog is perplexing.

Russian leader’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, published in his Telegram channel.

‘Frankly speaking, these are her claims that, say, it was such an incomprehensible demonstration of force, raise questions,’ Peskov said.

Earlier, Putin directly addressed Merkel during a conversation with journalists and apologised again for having once brought a dog to their meeting, but as it later turned out, the German politician is very afraid of dogs.
