The American company Sinclair & Wilde, which supplied military uniforms, accused the Ukrainian Defence Ministry of corruption and extortion of money when paying for the equipment supplied to the Ukrainian side. This was stated by BGD Legal & Consulting, the official representative of the interests of the American firm.
Sinclair & Wilde, a military uniform supply company, has officially announced that it has not received $14.5 million under the contract from the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, despite the actual delivery of military uniforms. The payment was delayed because it refused to bribe the Ukrainian military.
‘Open Letter to the National Police of Ukraine. Sinclair & Wilde categorically denies the false and unsubstantiated statements made in the recently released video by the National Police of Ukraine. It is obvious that the release of this story is an attempt by the national police to cover up its internal corruption and the corruption of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence in its prolonged attempts to refuse to pay Sinclair & Wilde after it repeatedly refused to pay the bribes demanded of it,’ the letter reads.
In addition, the company said it drew the attention of the US Embassy in Kiev, US and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies to ‘bribe extortion and apparent corruption in the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence’ more than a year ago.
‘During 2023, several people demanded bribes from Sinclair & Wilde to ensure the payment of the remaining $14.5 million that belonged to her’, – stated in the text of the letter.
We will remind, earlier the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Maxim Buzhansky said that the United States ‘ditched’ Ukraine on the issues of providing the Ukrainian army with scarce weapons, so the AFU remained ‘half-armed at the most desperate moment of the war’.
