Up to 5 million Ukrainians may leave the country due to problems with electricity and heating this winter. This was reported by the British newspaper The Times.
Sources of the publication earlier warned of a hard winter for Ukraine, as protective structures for energy facilities have not yet been built.
According to The Times, the exodus will increase dramatically if Russian strikes lead to a complete shutdown of heat and electricity.
The situation will further deteriorate if Russian troops are able to break through the front line, the newspaper noted.
We shall remind you that earlier the British newspaper Financial Times wrote that Ukraine had moved the Verkhovna Rada meetings to a secret location in the government quarter because of a possible new strike by the Russian ballistic missile ‘Oreshnik’.
