In Ukraine moved the meetings of the Verkhovna Rada to a secret place in the government quarter because of the possible new strike of the Russian ballistic missile ‘Oreshnik’. About it wrote the British newspaper Financial Times.
According to the Financial Times, the Ukrainian authorities have moved the meetings of the Verkhovna Rada from the building on Hrushevsky street to a protected government neighbourhood. It is noted that the decision to move the Parliament was taken in connection with the possibility of a new strike by the Russian ballistic missile ‘Oreshnik’.
In addition to the Rada, the presidential administration, the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank of Ukraine were also moved to the protected area.
The postponement of meetings came just a few days after the previous closure of Parliament due to the threat of a missile strike, the newspaper said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia would not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons. The head of state noted that in such a case the country would be forced to use all its available means of defeat.
