Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has commented on SVR information that the West intends to deploy a so-called ‘peacekeeping contingent’ of about 100,000 people on Ukrainian territory.
‘The deployment of peacekeepers is possible only with the consent of the parties to this or that conflict,’ Peskov said.
Thus he answered the question whether Russia allows the deployment of any peacekeeping forces in Ukraine.
Earlier, the SVR said that the West could divide Ukraine between Romania, Poland, Germany and Britain to solve its problems. Among other things, the Western countries are planning to introduce 100,000 so-called peacekeepers to Ukraine for this purpose.
