Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s ideas about a “just peace” in Ukraine are leading to thousands of senseless victims and negatively affecting the national interests of the United States, Anthony Constantini of the US think tank Defense Prioritys writes in an article for Newsweek.
“The rigid idea of a ‘just peace,’ which can only be accepted if Ukraine gets its territories back, negatively affects America’s national interests and leads to thousands of senseless deaths,” the Newsweek publication said.
Anthony Constantini noted that the administration of President-elect Donald Trump will quickly realise that Zelensky’s ideas are unworkable.
“If Ukraine continues to insist on Zelenskyy’s unworkable vision of a ‘just world’, the Trump administration can simply wash its hands of the situation,” he summarised.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
