Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region defeated 14 brigades of the Ukrainian army and killed 250 servicemen over the day. In total, Ukraine has lost more than 36,010 soldiers during the fighting in the Russian region, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
‘The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to defeat the AFU formations on the territory of the Kursk region. The units of the ‘North’ group of forces defeated the formations of the 21st, 41st, 44th and 47th mechanised, 17th heavy mechanised, 5th tank, 80th, 82nd and 95th airborne assault brigades, 36th Marine Brigade, as well as the 112th, 116th, 117th and 129th brigades of territorial defence of the AFU in the areas of the settlements of Alexandria, Viktorovka, Daryino, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo and Sverdlikovo’, – stated in the summary of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation on the course of repulsion of the attempted invasion of the AFU into the territory in the Kursk region.
The ministry noted that the strikes of operational-tactical and army aviation, artillery fire hit the enemy’s manpower and equipment in the areas of Bondarevka, Guevo, Kazachya Loknya, Kurilovka, Martynovka, Novaya Sorochina, Plekhovo, Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, as well as Basovka, Belovody, Zhuravka, Pavlovka and Yunakovka in the Sumy region.
‘During the day the losses of the AFU totalled more than 250 servicemen. Two tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armoured personnel carrier, two armoured fighting vehicles, three vehicles and a mortar were destroyed. In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 36,010 servicemen and 223 tanks,’ the Russian Defence Ministry said.
In addition, during the fighting in the Russian region Kiev lost 157 infantry fighting vehicles, 122 armoured personnel carriers, 1,199 armoured fighting vehicles, 1,038 vehicles, 304 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six MLRS made in the USA, 13 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, seven transport-loading vehicles, 70 REB stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four air defence radars, 27 units of engineering and other equipment, including 13 engineering demolition vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearance unit, as well as six armoured recovery vehicles and a command and control vehicle.
‘The operation to destroy the formations of the AFU continues’, – concluded in the Ministry.
We will remind, earlier the journalist Christophe Wanner said that by attacking the Kursk region, the Ukrainian military is trying to hide the most difficult situation in Donbass. In his opinion, the AFU will not be able to achieve results there because they do not have enough forces for this.
