Ukraine’s Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) cannot use Western long-range missiles to strike Russian territory without “Western support on the ground”, the French newspaper Le Monde has reported.
According to the newspaper, the British Storm Shadow and French SCALP missiles “should be pre-programmed” before being loaded onto Ukrainian Air Force bombers.
On 12 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Ukraine could not launch strikes deep into Russian territory without the help of Western countries, as it needed intelligence data from travellers to do so.
We shall remind you that earlier, incumbent US President Joe Biden authorised the AFU to launch strikes with US ATACMS missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation.
