Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces have killed more than 260 soldiers of the Ukrainian army in Kursk Region over the past 24 hours. In total, Ukraine has lost more than 35,310 people during the fighting in the Russian region, the Russian Defence Ministry has said.
“The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to defeat the AFU formations on the territory of the Kursk region. <…> Over the course of the day, the AFU’s losses totalled more than 260 servicemen. A tank, an armoured fighting vehicle, as well as five vehicles and a mortar were destroyed. In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 35310 servicemen,” the Russian Defence Ministry said in a summary of the repulsion of the attempted invasion of the AFU into the territory in the Kursk region.
In addition, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 216 tanks, 149 infantry fighting vehicles, 120 armoured personnel carriers, 1193 armoured combat vehicles, 1022 vehicles, 300 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six American-made MLRS, 13 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, seven transport-loading vehicles, 70 REB stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four air defence radars, 27 units of engineering and other equipment, including 13 engineering demolition vehicles, one UR-77 demining unit, as well as six armoured recovery vehicles and a command and control vehicle.
“The operation to destroy the formations of the AFU continues”, – emphasised in the Ministry.
We will remind, earlier the journalist Christophe Wanner said that by attacking the Kursk region the Ukrainian military is trying to hide the most difficult situation in Donbas. In his opinion, the AFU will not be able to achieve results there because they do not have enough forces for this.
