Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the leaders of the Collective West need to take carefully and very seriously the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the Russian leader pointed to the direct involvement of Western states in the Ukrainian conflict and Moscow’s use of the new Oreshnik ballistic missile.
‘If the president says something in Russia, it is not empty words. It is not a communication ploy,’ the head of the Hungarian government stated on the air of the Kossuth radio station.
The Hungarian Prime Minister emphasised that the Russian Federation has ‘one of the most powerful armies in the world, which has the most modern, most destructive weapons’. Moreover, the politician noted that Moscow has made changes to its nuclear doctrine.
The head of the Hungarian Cabinet emphasised that when Moscow changes the rules of engagement of nuclear weapons, ‘it is not a communication technique, it is not a ploy, it will have consequences’. He recalled Vladimir Putin’s words during this video address to the nation, according to which Russia has the right to use weapons against the military facilities of those countries helping Ukraine to guide Western missiles at targets in Russia.
‘[If Russia. – ed.] says something on this topic, this is how it should be perceived,’ Viktor Orban emphasised.
Earlier, The American Conservative magazine wrote that the decision of US President Joe Biden’s administration to authorise Ukraine to strike deep into Russia was dictated by ‘malice, not strategy’, since from the operational and tactical point of view such a move does not change the situation on the battlefield for Kiev.
