In Slovakia investigate the legality of the gift of arms to Ukraine

Slovak Interior Minister Matus Šutaj-Eštok said that Bratislava has launched a process to investigate the legality of the donation of military equipment for Ukraine.

‘There is a reasonable suspicion that several offences have been committed,’ said Matuš Šutaj-Eštok, as quoted by Slovak Television.

According to the TV channel, a special unit called ‘The Giver’ has been formed within the Slovak national Office for Combating Organised Crime to investigate the legality of the arms transfer to Ukraine.

The publication emphasises that the investigators in the case will examine the legality of the decisions of officials who were in power in the country until October 2023 and supported by liberal-minded parties.

We will remind, earlier the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico said that after the re-election of Donald Trump as President of the United States Vladimir Zelensky is worried about the possible end of the Ukrainian conflict.
