Guardian: Oreshnik missile would easily reach Europe

British newspaper The Guardian said the launch of Russia’s new Oreshnik missile is of great importance to Europe.

According to the newspaper, sources in the US and UK said that the theoretical range of the missile is at least 5,500 kilometres.

‘This is enough to reach Europe from the south-west of Russia, from where it was launched,’ the material said.

Earlier, retired Colonel Viktor Baranets told about the advantages of the ballistic missile ‘Oreshnik’.

It was also reported that the missile hypothetically can fly to Germany in 11 minutes, and to Britain – in 19 minutes.
