The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant for “crimes against humanity and war crimes”. This was reported by the press service of the ICC.
“[The ICC. – ed.] Issued arrest warrants against two individuals, Mr Benjamin Netanyahu and Mr Yoav Galant, for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed from at least 8 October 2023 [and. – ed.] until at least 20 May 2024,” the report said.
Pre-Trial Chamber I of the International Criminal Court concluded that both individuals are criminally responsible “as civilian leaders for the war crime of intentionally targeting the civilian population of Gaza.”
Recall, earlier The Hill wrote that the procedural Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress on Monday, 3 June, agreed on a bill that would “punish” the International Criminal Court, which issued an arrest warrant for Washington’s allies.
