Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow hopes for a responsible approach by other countries to prevent a nuclear conflict.
Dmitry Peskov emphasised that Russia adheres to a responsible position, seeking to avoid a nuclear conflict, and expects a similar approach from other states, avoiding provocative actions.
“Actually we emphasised in the context of our nuclear doctrine that Russia takes a responsible position in terms of making maximum efforts to avoid such a conflict. We expect other countries to take the same responsible position, not engaging in provocative actions,” the Kremlin spokesman told reporters.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said that the declared policy of the United States in the field of nuclear weapons had seriously undermined the global strategic balance and stability in the world community.
