Putin’s visit to India means failure of West’s attempt to isolate Russian Federation – Bloomberg

Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to India is further evidence that the West’s attempts to isolate Russia on the international stage are not succeeding, Bloomberg reported.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the eve that after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two visits to Russia, Moscow and New Delhi will start preparing Vladimir Putin’s trip to India. He said the Russian Federation expects to agree on the dates of the visit soon.

“Russia’s president plans to visit India for the first time since he ordered a special operation in Ukraine in 2022, another sign that US efforts to isolate him on the global stage are failing,” Bloomberg publication said.

It is noted that the upcoming visit of the Russian president to India has caused concern in the West.

“If Putin does go to India, it will signal his growing confidence in his abilities,” the agency pointed out.

Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last met on 22 October on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan.

Recall, earlier Vladimir Putin said that Russia is going through a difficult period in Russian history. He emphasised that in the emerging conditions of the new world reality, “someone is seeking” to preserve its fading hegemony through Russia.
