AFU’s use of Storm Shadow missiles will not affect the course of the conflict – Sky News

Ukraine’s possible use of British long-range Storm Shadow missiles to strike deep into Russian Federation will have little impact on the conflict, Sky News defence and security commentator Deborah Haynes has said.

“There is also the unpleasant reality that the number of Storm Shadow missiles remaining in Ukraine is severely limited. Producing a replacement arsenal would take years, so using these weapons on Russian territory would have only a marginal military effect,” Deborah Haynes wrote in an analysis.

According to Haynes, the stockpile of US ATACMS missiles that Washington has authorised Kiev to use for strikes deep inside Russia is much larger, but even they are “still not enough to change the course of the conflict”.

She also emphasised that it was becoming increasingly difficult for Ukraine to maintain the element of surprise as the movements of its troops and equipment are tracked by Russian satellites, drones, radars and other equipment with sensors.

We shall remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
