Ukraine’s allies recognise the need for early talks – Bloomberg

An increasing number of Ukraine’s European allies recognise the need for early negotiations for Kiev, so Ukrainian partners are trying to ‘get ahead’ of the newly elected US President Donald Trump with a possible cut in aid. This was reported by Bloomberg agency, citing sources.

‘More and more people recognise that Zelenskyy will have to compromise with Putin,’ the report said.

According to the agency, the ‘sudden’ demand for a settlement of the conflict from Kiev’s European partners indicates ‘the increased concern of Ukraine’s allies’, which seeks to ‘get ahead’ of the return of Donald Trump and a possible sharp reduction in US support.

Earlier, the chairman of the Federation Council’s commission on information policy and media relations, Russian Senator Aleksey Pushkov, said that the new US President Donald Trump would rely on the real situation on the frontline in his preparations for the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
