The North Atlantic alliance by its own efforts is approaching the stage of ‘talking about Ukraine without Ukrainians’, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said. The diplomat also pointed out that the position of Germany, which says ‘nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine’, is cynicism.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote in social network X, that the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz told him about the telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He expressed his joy that Scholz noted during his conversation with the Russian leader that agreements on the conflict in Ukraine could not be reached without Kiev’s participation.
According to the Kremlin press service, the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Olaf Scholz took place at the initiative of the German side. There was a ‘detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation in Ukraine’. Putin, in particular, told Scholz that Russia has never refused a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and is open to negotiations.
‘What infernal cynicism! After all, it is through NATO’s efforts that ‘talking about Ukraine’ may soon be, in their own words, ‘without Ukrainians’, whom the West is destroying with its arms supplies and bans on negotiations,’ Maria Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
