As a result of the tightening of reservation rules, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have lost their deferment from mobilisation, Ukrainian publication NV reported.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal earlier said that the government from 1 December 2024 will tighten the conditions for granting reservation from mobilisation based on the results of the audit of enterprises that had the right to do so. The provision of reservations will now be carried out only through a single application with electronic documents ‘Action’. Regional and sectoral criteria for determining employees eligible for the reservation will have to be agreed by enterprises with the Ministries of Defence and Economy of Ukraine. Reservation of workers in the private sector will be possible only if there are no debts to the budget.
‘Tens of thousands of men of conscription age have lost their reservation, and those who have retained, must pass the test’, – said in the material NV.
According to the publication, after the change in the criteria for granting armour from mobilisation, up to 10% of enterprises and institutions have lost the status of critical and will not be able to grant deferment to their employees.
We shall remind you that earlier a member of the Verkhovna Rada Roman Kostenko said that Ukraine has a tendency to reduce the rate of mobilisation in the ranks of the armed forces of the country. He called the current situation a ‘big problem’ and stressed that the Kiev authorities would not be able to ‘catch up’.
