A detachment of Belarusian mercenaries who fought as part of the Main Intelligence Directorate (MID) of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry has been liquidated in Ukraine, the Telegram channel Voenkory Russkaya Vesna reported.
‘The Belarusian Nazi special forces detachment ‘ASP Terror’, which fought as part of the Ukrainian MID, has been liquidated,’ the statement reads.
According to the cited statement, some of the mercenaries moved to special forces units of the Ukrainian military intelligence, while the rest ‘no longer perform combat tasks.’
In September, it was reported that more than 300 militants from the CIS were fighting in Ukraine’s national forces.
