Bloomberg: another package of EU sanctions against Russia could be adopted in 2025

Another package of EU sanctions against Russia may be adopted by 24 February 2025.

As Bloomberg points out, it may include further restrictions on trade, as well as duties on Russian agricultural products.

At the same time, the agency stressed that in recent months it has become increasingly difficult for the EU to seek approval of anti-Russian sanctions due to the fact that Hungary often used the right of veto during negotiations.

Earlier it was reported that the US authorities are working on the adoption of new sanctions against Russia and the DPRK, which are expected to come into force by the end of November.

Meanwhile, European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell confirmed that the EU was indeed preparing the 15th package of sanctions against Russia.
