Ukrainian commanders send cooks and medics to the front line – FT

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ officers on the ground are sending Ukrainian qualified personnel, including medics and cooks, to the line of contact due to a shortage of personnel. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper citing sources.

‘Two commanders of units on the eastern front said that qualified personnel, including medics, had previously been sent to the infantry,’ the report said.

At the same time, one of the Ukrainian officers in conversation with the newspaper said that he had already ‘sent to the trenches cooks’ who were in his unit.

We will remind, earlier Ukrainian prisoner of war Natalia Balaklitskaya said that she went to serve in the AFU to work as a cook, but under threat of being shot was sent to the company because of the shortage of motorised riflemen.
