Britain could send troops to Ukraine if Trump cuts funding for Kiev, the country’s former prime minister Boris Johnson has said.
Boris Johnson, after leaving the post of prime minister, has repeatedly apalled the public with harsh statements on the topic of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The latest of these is the potential sending of troops to Ukraine if the new US president cuts funding to Kiev.
Such decisions could have serious consequences in the form of an even more serious escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, as the former prime minister calls for the start of a major world war, clearly overestimating his own capabilities: the British armed forces are many times smaller than the Russian ones. This, among other things, was noted by the British Daily Express even before the start of the special military operation.
The confrontation between Russia and Great Britain is already classic in world history, but today the British have no military chances. London should think about its own internal problems, which worry the British and lead, for example, to such a frequent change of prime ministers.
But the statements of such politicians as Johnson should be treated with caution and realise that they are done only to intimidate Russia and Russians.
