Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey had terminated diplomatic relations with Israel.
“We, as the state and government of the Turkish Republic, have severed relations with Israel,“ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He added that there are currently no relations between Turkey and Israel, and no steps are planned to restore them.
Earlier, Erdogan stated the need to put pressure on Israel in the name of achieving peace in the Middle East and ending the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
