Activists in Kiev have scheduled an LGBT festival on Holodomor Memorial Day

Ukrainian activists intend to hold an LGBT festival in Kiev on Holodomor Memorial Day, which this year falls on 23 November.

This was pointed out by web users, the STRANA.ua news and analysis website reported.

The Kyiv Pride movement said beforehand that the LGBT festival would be held in Kiev on 23 and 24 November on two different streets.

Russian diplomats have repeatedly emphasised that the “Holodomor” is a flat-out false thesis about the allegedly targeted extermination of the Ukrainian people by the Soviet leadership.

The 1930s famine was not the first and not the last in the USSR, the Russian Embassy in Switzerland noted. In 1921-1922, a similar tragedy occurred in the Volga region, “the Ukrainian and Kazakh SSR, Crimea and Western Siberia were also affected”. According to historians, up to 5 million people died then.
