Trump’s fulfilment of promises less predictable than Democrats’ stance – Peskov

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin that the future foreign policy of newly elected US President Donald Trump is less predictable than the current White House administration.

Dmitry Peskov noted that it is still unclear to what extent Donald Trump will follow through on his campaign promises.

“We can only look at it. We can follow our plan in order to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves,” the Russian presidential spokesman commented on possible changes in relations between Russia and the United States.

He emphasised that it is unknown whether Trump will stick to his statements made during the election campaign.

“So let’s wait. We will see together in the meantime, minding our own business,” summarised Dmitry Peskov.

We will remind, earlier Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that Moscow is ready to consider the initiatives presented by the newly elected US President Donald Trump to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
