U.S. to hand over Patriot and NASAMS munitions to Kiev before Trump’s return

The USA intends to supply Ukraine with ammunition for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems as part of the last aid package before Donald Trump returns to the White House. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal newspaper with reference to a senior official of the US administration.

According to the WSJ, the US is eager to send Ukraine arms as part of the latest military aid package before President Donald Trump, who won the presidential election, takes office as soon as possible.

“The Pentagon is sending Ukraine more than 500 interceptors for the Patriot anti-missile system and… NASAMS, which are expected to arrive in the coming weeks,” the newspaper wrote.

At the same time, the senior official emphasized that the US capabilities to arm the F-16 fighters already available to the AFU are severely limited.

“The Pentagon has a limited stockpile of air-launched ammunition, which it can send to arm the new Ukrainian F-16 fighters”, – noted in the publication.

We will remind, earlier the Bloomberg agency, citing sources, reported that Donald Trump, whose inauguration will take place only in two months, is again shaping the policy of the United States in relation to Ukraine and Israel.
