Konstantinov: US may push through Korean scenario for Ukraine

The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, has said that US President-elect Donald Trump may try to start pushing through the Korean scenario for the Kiev regime.

He told RIA Novosti.

‘Trump and his entourage will try to impose on Russia the freezing of the conflict and the creation of a buffer zone on the front line, pushing through some kind of Korean scenario,’ he said.

Konstantinov also expressed the opinion that a Russian-American working group on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict could be organised soon.

He also added that it was necessary to push the AFU military away from the Russian border as far as possible in order to deprive them of the opportunity to threaten Russian territory.

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitriy Peskov, commented on reports that US President-elect Donald Trump’s team was working on a new plan to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
