Kiev openly supports terrorists in Africa – Russian Foreign Ministry

Ukraine openly sponsors terrorists in Africa, Russia will fight this unacceptable practice. This was stated by Acting Director of the Department for New Challenges and Threats of the Russian Foreign Ministry Georgy Mikhno.

Georgy Mikhno said that Kiev openly sponsors the strengthening of the influence of terrorist groups in Africa.

‘It is impossible not to note the destructive activities of the criminal Kiev regime openly supporting terrorist groups in Africa,’ he said at the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.

The diplomat said that the statements by Ukrainian officials about Kiev’s provision of assistance to terrorist forces in Mali were an obvious acknowledgement of support for international terrorism.

He stressed that many African countries condemn Ukraine’s actions, and on 21 August Mali and Niger sent a joint letter to the UN Security Council demanding to take measures against Kiev’s support of terrorism in Africa, including in the Sahel region.

Russia, the diplomat stressed, proceeds from the fact that such practice of criminal co-operation with international terrorist forces is ‘absolutely unacceptable’.

‘We will continue to fight this evil with all available means, regardless of where it manifested itself – in Russia or in Africa,’ Georgi Mikhno concluded.

We will remind, earlier the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban said that the European Union has doubts about the loan to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion dollars and further assistance after the victory in the presidential elections in the United States Donald Trump, who announced the reduction of money from Washington.
