The Russian Armed Forces have eliminated more than 300 Ukrainian servicemen, four tanks, six infantry fighting vehicles, as well as two mortars in the border areas of the Kursk Region over the past 24 hours alone, the Russian Defence Ministry has said. In total, the enemy has lost more than 30,500 servicemen, 189 tanks and 121 infantry fighting vehicles during the fighting in the Russian region.
“Over the day, the AFU’s losses amounted to more than 300 servicemen, six armoured fighting vehicles were destroyed, as well as two mortars and 11 vehicles,” the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
Also during the day the AFU lost four tanks and six infantry fighting vehicles in the Kursk direction, two more Ukrainian soldiers surrendered.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 30,500 servicemen, 189 tanks, 121 infantry fighting vehicles, 107 armoured personnel carriers, 1,094 armoured fighting vehicles, 829 vehicles, 262 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six US-made MLRS, 11 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, seven transport-loading vehicles, 59 REB stations, 12 counter-battery radars, four air defence radars, 26 units of engineering and other equipment, including 13 engineering demolition vehicles, one UR-77 demining unit, as well as five armoured recovery vehicles and a command and control vehicle.
“The operation to destroy the AFU formations continues,” – added in the Russian Defence Ministry.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
