The Biden administration has caused great frustration with its constant fear of escalation, its refusal to grant Ukraine permission to launch long-range strikes on Russian territory, and its chronic delays in delivering military aid.
According to the newspaper, Ukrainian officials are currently working with two public formulations:
– The first involves freezing the conflict at current positions and forcing Ukraine into neutrality with no obvious security guarantees or restrictions for Putin;
– The second involves increasing military and financial support as a deterrent to Moscow, while retaining the prospect of NATO membership.
