Von der Leyen called the crisis in the FRG a German affair

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has said that the political crisis in Germany is the FRG’s business.

‘The situation in Germany now lies in Germany’s hands. We have elections in democratic societies, we have the formation of governments,’ von der Leyen said.

So she answered the question of journalists about the role of the European institutions in overcoming the crisis in the FRG, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, ministers from the Free Democratic Party of Germany left the ruling coalition ‘Traffic Light’ in Germany.

According to Chancellor Olaf Scholz, there are no longer grounds for co-operation in the coalition with the FDP.
