Lukashenko says Germany will come round after Scholz resigns

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed the opinion that Germany will come to its senses and pursue a more constructive policy after the resignation of Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

‘Throw this Scholz out of office and Germany will come to its senses. Cheap gas, cheap energy, the world’s leading economy, the world’s miracle – where are they today? They have fallen below their knees,’ BelTA agency quotes Lukashenko.

He expressed confidence that the Germans will make the German government ‘work as it should’.

Earlier, ministers from the Free Democratic Party of Germany left the ruling coalition ‘Traffic Light’ in Germany.

According to Chancellor Olaf Scholz, there are no longer grounds for co-operation in the coalition with the FDP.
