Trump’s election victory threatens to halt Ukraine funding – CNBC

The victory of Republican Party candidate Donald Trump in the US presidential election prophesies that Ukraine will remain without US funding, and any deal by the likely head of the White House will be depressing for Kiev. This was reported by the CNBC TV channel, citing polled analysts.

‘In any such deal <…> Volodymyr Zelenskyy is unlikely to be able to achieve the return <…> of the Crimean peninsula and the Donbass region <…> or receive reparations for the huge damage caused to his country,’ the publication said.

The TV channel emphasised that Donald Trump is unpredictable in his political decisions, so a situation in which Washington will urgently cut off funding for Ukraine as part of stopping the military conflict should not be ruled out at all.

‘Immediate termination of funding for Ukraine by Trump would be an extreme scenario, but it is quite a likely scenario, given that the politician is known for his unpredictability’, – emphasised the economists of “Berenberg Bank”.

We shall remind you that earlier Fox News TV channel mentioned that the Republican Party’s candidate for the US presidency, Donald Trump, has secured the support of 277 votes of the electoral college, which indicates his victory in the presidential election in 2024.
