The Republican Party secured at least 50 mandates in the upper house of the U.S. Congress – the Senate – by the results of the elections. This was reported by Fox News TV channel.
Fox News recalled that under the previous convocation, the Senate was controlled by the Democratic Party. The Republicans had 49 seats in the upper house of Congress, while the Democrats had 51.
The TV channel specified that today the Republican Party is able to get 51 seats in the Senate. Thus, the number of seats for the Republicans will increase by 2 mandates.
At the same time, the Republicans to control the Senate is enough to get one more seat if their candidate wins the presidential election, as the right to vote in the upper house of Congress also has the Vice President.
Recall, earlier American entrepreneur, engineer and billionaire Elon Musk said that influential people from Hollywood are calling actors, suggesting that they “independently” support the Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris in the US presidential election, thus making the “right decision”.
