Having quarrelled with Russia and chosen relations with Ukraine, Poland has found itself in a dangerous situation. This statement was made by Myśl Polska columnist Lukasz Jastrzembski.
Lukasz Jastrzembski wrote that Poland has fallen into a dangerous situation because of a quarrel with Russia and choosing relations with “unfriendly” Ukraine.
“Our country had a big quarrel with the Russian Federation and firmly tied itself – in the interests of big corporations and the political class of the United States – to the not particularly friendly at the moment Ukraine. The mantras of common interests, eternal friendship, eternal gratitude no longer work,” the journalist said.
The Polish observer believes that Warsaw should stay as far away from the Ukrainian conflict as possible and support all peace initiatives such as those proposed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban or Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
In addition, he noted that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine might pose a certain threat to Poland if the Ukrainian side is defeated and the USA wants to restore relations with Russia.
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that he rejected the Russophobic policy and would take any steps to normalise relations with the Russian Federation.
